- We all know the old cliché, "Never judge a book by it's cover". Well this is certainly true when meeting Behn Goldis a.k.a. "BennyBwoy" for the first time. Raised in a strict Orthodox Jewish home, he views life & society on a spiritual level. His philosophy is to look at a person's inner soul. Growing up in a multicultural diverse neighborhood, Far Rockaway, (Queens, NY) "BennyBwoy" would often be seen playing hoops or just spittin lyrics with his friends. Being the only white in the crowd never made a difference to "BennyBwoy" or the friends around him. Already singing "Rap" at age 12, his familiarity with patois led him to Reggae Music. His love & devotion has kept the fire burning bright inside of him. He has performed all across the globe, from Jamaica & other countries in the Caribbean to the U.S., Europe, Middle East & Far East. People often come away feeling a bit shocked with his performance & skills. A mere sampling of his music will support this conclusion. "BennyBwoy" has had many highlights in his career. He was a member of the internationally known group "The Lost Trybe of Hip Hop" best know for their two charted Billboard singles "Masta Plan" & "Pressure". He has written & starred in a musical short, which was produced & aired by Comedy Central. He is a member of S.A.G. & has appeared in several major motion pictures. He founded an organization called M.A.R.C.H. (Musical Alliance for Racial & Cultural Harmony) after the "Crown Heights" riots. And held several musical events around New York City. He often lends himself to various charitable organizations, Religious Groups & Habitat for Humanity. He is a strong advocate of the Power Lunch program, where once a week during his lunch hour he reads with a student in the NYC Public School system. He also is an active Volunteer Firefighter and a member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). Behn is the Head of The Restricted Securities Division for a well known Wall Street Private Bank. An internationally known expert in the area of Restricted Securities. And lectures to the financial industry in the U.S., Europe, Far East, Middle East & Caribbean. At night on most of his business trips you can find him on the mike at the local "Hip Hop" or "Reggae" clubs amazing the crowds. "BennyBwoy" with his faith, knows that he has been given a great gift. Anxious to share, he is relentless in spreading his own special blend of music & words to humanity. Never one to hold back on his dreams, he is looking to tear down the walls & build up bridges merging many cultures & societies. "One Love"
